Global Issues
SDC programs explore critical issues like climate change, indigenous rights and sustainability. Our marine biology program in Mexico introduces students to water conservation, desert ecology and marine biology in the Sea of Cortez.
College Credit
Launched in 2021, Student Diplomacy Experimental College (SDXCO) offers college credit courses in Alaska, Massachusetts and Spain. 320 students have earned over 1000 college credits and worked with 30 visiting professors from colleges including Brown, Cal Berkeley, Northwestern, Prescott and University of Madrid.
Family & Friendship
Over 1100 host families and 350 global experts have shared their culture, community and expertise. Japanese families, Spanish artists, Italian chefs, Mexican scientists and Albanian anthropologists welcome, teach and inspire.
Closing the Achievement Gap
Nationally, 11% of low-income, first-generation students are completing college. SDC alumni matriculate at top 150 colleges and universities 50% more than peers who did not participate, receive 2.5 times more scholarship support and graduate at over 70% – nearly 7 times the rate for their income bracket.*

SDC has changed my worldview. It taught me the value of embracing diversity, finding beauty in the unknown, and cherishing human connections. The program enhanced my understanding of history, archaeology, and anthropology, providing a three-dimensional perspective that no textbook could convey. The ability to navigate diverse environments, communicate across cultural boundaries, and adapt to unfamiliar situations will undoubtedly shape my future endeavors.
