SDC Summer 2022 Programs – University Academy Application

The Student Diplomacy Corps (SDC) invites motivated University Academy students to join a group of 10-12 peers from across the nation and around the world this summer on exciting SDC International programs or Student Diplomacy Experimental College (SDXCO) courses.

SDC International

Whether you’re practicing your Japanese language skills with a Taiko drumming expert, cooking in a professional kitchen with an Italian chef or learning flamenco with a Spanish dancer, you’ll connect deeply with the history, culture, economy, food and language of a new country. Understanding the people, geography and issues that shape local communities enables you to develop lasting bonds while learning about global issues during an adventurous 3-5 week summer abroad.

Student Diplomacy Experimental College (SDXCO)

Begin your college career this summer on campus and during field-based travel study project in the USA!  Develop college level writing, research and debate skills in small group seminars guided by professors. Earn 3 college credits while studying public health, music, creative writing, biodiversity or civil rights.  When you’re not in the classroom, experience life on a college campus, participate in sports, arts or extra-curricular activities and explore new communities across the USA. SDXCO will help you build new skills, attitudes and confidence to thrive in college and career.
