2023 SDC Program Leader Reference Form
Student Diplomacy Corps (SDC) Program Leaders are responsible for the safety and welfare of groups of exceptionally talented high school students from under-served communities during 3-5 week immersion programs abroad and/or 4 week, domestic, campus-based, college-credit-bearing liberal arts programs.
SDC Program leaders may be required to do any/all of the following:
• Manage budgets and logistics in international settings
• Facilitate the delivery of experiential, educational programs both domestically and abroad
• Work with groups of highly talented teenagers in an international/cross-cultural setting
• Work with groups of highly talented teenagers in a rigorous university-based academic setting
SDC Program Leadership requires exceptional communication skills, sound judgement, sophisticated cultural adaptation skills and an excellent work ethic.
